Mecer USB to Serial (RS-232) Converter

Description

The Mecer AP1103 is a USB to serial (RS-232) converter. Most new laptops and PCs no longer have a 9-pin serial port, but plenty of equipment still uses one: barcode scanners, receipt printers, scales, UPS management ports, network switch consoles, PLCs and lab instruments.

This adapter connects to a USB port and presents a standard RS-232 serial port to the computer, so older devices can keep working with new hardware. It is USB 1.1 compliant and plug and play, with data rates up to 500 kbps. Install the driver if your operating system does not detect it automatically.
