One onboard M.2 slot is rated for blistering read and write speeds up to 16 GB/s, while the remainder can deliver still-impressive 8 GB/s transfers. And every M.2 slot is covered with substantial heatsinks to dispatch the heat of next-gen drives.?
TWO THUNDERBOLT 4 TYPE-C® PORTS
Each port delivers up to 40 Gbps of bidirectional bandwidth for the latest super-speed devices and drives. Both ports can be employed for up to two external 4K displays, and PCIe bandwidth extends to up to 32 Gbps.
USB WATTAGE WATCHER
USB Wattage Watcher allows users to monitor the current wattage delivered to a device connected to the USB 10Gbps Type-C® rear I/O port. With USB Wattage Watcher, users can glance at their device’s charging wattage in real-time and check on their device’s Fast-Charging status.
DOLBY ATMOS
ROG and Dolby® have partnered to bring superior gaming audio quality to users. Dolby Atmos expands on traditional surround sound systems by adding height channels, which enables immersive three-dimensional audio to be perceived from above, below and around the listener.
SupremeFX
ROG SupremeFX is a unique blend of hardware and software technologies that provide superior audio. The Strix Z890-A implementation features the ALC4080 codec for high-resolution playback up to 32-bit/384 kHz across all channels. Front-panel output is streamed through the integrated Savitech amplifier that can drive high-fidelity acoustics to a wide variety of speakers and headsets.
A specially designed circuit separation reduces electromagnetic interference from the motherboard and attached devices for cleaner audio.
The integrated Hi-Fi Savitech amplifier holds up its end of the signal path with imperceptible levels of distortion at -90dB THD+N and a signal-to-noise ratio of 110dB for extremely clean output.
Instead of the conventional high definition audio (HDA) interface, the ALC4080 codec uses a USB interface to deliver studio-level sound reaching up to 32-bit 384 kHz audio resolution.
OUTSHINE THE COMPETITION
ROG Strix motherboards feature ASUS Aura technology, enabling full lighting control and a variety of presets for both onboard RGB LEDs and third-party accessories. Effects can be easily synced across compatible ROG graphics cards, monitors, keyboards, and mice to give your setup a unified look.
